HAPPY THURSDAY

Hope everyone had a marvelous Thanksgiving! I know I did. Pan con pavo @ my dad’s was awesome. My dad is the best cook. He makes wonderful comfort food. LOL. I love when he makes turkey, the sauce is the best! I had fun with friends and family and was grateful I had dinner and people I love around me!

For some weird reason every time we go out on vacation there’s a tragedy in my office.I came back to many many tragedies. Crazy world. So many unexpected things. Amongst all the happiness many people have sadness. That sucks. I wish the world was a happier place. boo for today! I also have homework to finish up, since this is my last week. Next week I have finals and after that…MY BIRTHDAY BASH!! IT’S ALMOST MY BIRTHDAY LOVES!!! I already got my bday present from my bf. So happy. He’s the best, always!!

I am so ready to eat all the food…Turkey, Ham, Pernil..YUM! Dios que riiicooo!! I’m like drooling already..LOL..But you know, we sometimes forget the main prupose of this holiday..Give Thanks. I am so Thankful to God this year because he has been so good to me & my family. I can’t complain. He’s been awesome. My Top 10 Things to be grateful this year are:

1. My dad..He is a walking miracle, after a major heart attack, two strokes and 2 months at the hospital, he is still walking, talking and back to his normal self. I can’t believe how strong he is and how much he loves life. Luv my dad!! <3

2.My Grandma…She is 90+ years old and still active. She has some sight problems but all that comes with age. At her age most people are in bad shape, but God has let us borrow her for many years.

3.My family…Those who are far and near. I love them so much.

4.My boyfriend being who he is! LOVE YOU!

5.My friends..I can know say who really are my friends.

6.My House…After many months of stress and worrying, we finally bought our house in April

7.My lil dog Leo…Love him! He is the best ever!

8.Health…I can only say, I am glad I’m alive!

9. a Job…After so many people lost their job I can only be grateful that I can wake up everyday and come to work…Even if sometimes I don’t like it! LOL

10.Miracles…Happen everyday in my life!

My stupid sent me a very nasty e-mail that ruined my morning already…And it’s barely 8:46am..I saw it at 8:02am. Crazy! I just can’t believe him, he’s out of his mind.

I never wish anyone anything bad and won’t start now. I just wish people would realize that the world does NOT  revolve around them!! I guess that’s why I never let it get “personal” at work. Keep your distance, that’s all I will say

I’m going to A&M @ College Station this weekend for my friend’s Aggie Ring Dunk! I’m so proud of him! I’m not a big A&M fan, but I guess this weekend I will be! LOL

So this weekend was fun. We got to see our Realtor, who we hadn’t seen in forever. It was fun! He is such a nice guy and helped us so so much! We went to Fajita Flats and had fajitas and margaritas (well, at least I did!.) After that we met with our Friend Lilian @ Manor on Washington…It was cool, I mean, the place is nice but I saw somethings that I personally did not like. Like for example, when I went to the restroom, you won’t believe what I saw. I was like…hmm? Am I drunk and seeing things or what?!?! There was this girl with a straightening Iron doing her hair…In the restroom…at the club…with all those people?! I was shocked! I had never ever seen that anywhere, I mean, ANYWHERE! It was ridiculous! Then this other crazy girls dressed like homeless. I thought they said Manor was “chic attire a must!” Well, that was not my experience. I had fun though, I danced and had drinks which by the way were strong!

On Saturday we went to an Oktoberfest that our church was having, food was YUUUUMMMYYY After that, I went to see 2012…IT WAS SO GOOD! the movie is 2:40hrs long, but believe me..It was an intense 2:40 hrs! It’s so good, I give it 5 stars!! Go see it IDK who believes in 2012 but I don’t! I don’t think it’s possible to have a time where the world will “end” Look @ the video below to see how people are “preparing!”

Sunday was what Sunday is supposed to be. Lazy. We went to ran errands and then a friend’s bday. After that, we came home to watch the Pats vs. Colts and the Pats sadly lost Jorge was so so upset! LOL

I’m really looking forward to this week ending! Next week is Thanksgiving! IDK what we’ll do yet but we will surely find something! I can’t wait to put my Christmas decorations up!

BTW – Mi Mami is coming to visit me! SO SO EXCITED

So the weekend is coming up and I have a busy schedule. Today a housewarming/birthday party. Tomorrow my dad’s birthday bbq…Can’t wait for that one! Too bad it’s cold because he has a pool and I love to get in! I absolutely love to swim and relax in the water. After that, we have a house party for Halloween. I can’t wait to see people’s costumes! I love to see people all dresses up, it’s so much fun!!

Sunday will be my dad’s last day at the church. He has to say good bye to everyone there. I think it’s a sad thing to do and I admire the courage he has to do it. In all honesty, he needs to rest. He needs to get better and focus more on himself. He has given his life & energy to those people for more than 5 years, now it’s time for him to give himself a break.

I guess it’s always good to give yourself a break. Have time for yourself and focus on you. We spend so much time focusing on work, school, money, traffic, tomorrow. We forget to spend time with family, friends and ourselves. There’s so much more in life than stressing about things you can’t change, and that’s where I found myself all the time. I’ve learned that I need to give more time to life. Live more and stress less. Hang out with friends, leave the problems behind. Relax. Take vacations. Know that work is work and once you step outside the office your “work” mind has to stay behind. So many people get sick because of stress. I don’t want to be one of them. Life is more important.I am more important.

I have so much fun hanging out with friends, doing nothing, being with Jorge watching TV and I hate when conversation about stressing things come up! You know, everything has its time. Everything can wait.

As for my Halloween costume, I still haven’t decided. I am still thinking. Although, I have a few options. We’ll see tomorrow !!!

So this weekend I had a wake up call. Very personal, so I can’t share, but I can say that my eyes have been opened to the real world. Taking things lighter isn’t always a bad idea.

Friday I went to my friend Cherry’s house. I ate home made empanadas that her mom had made. Absolutely delicious! (Am I always writting about food?) Her mom is really nice! She’s funnyyy…Makes me laugh all the time. I also went to my dad’s house and spend a couple of hours talking about life. He was watching Benjamin Button with his wife and I interrupted boooo…I like that movie!! But I had fun. My dad is always fun.

On Saturday I had a lunch date with my bff/twin Patty. We went to eat in the city. It’s always fun to be with her. We surprisingly got lost. LOL. Patty always gets lost. She has a Tom Tom but that dumb thing never works! I strongly think people  should not buy a Tom Tom!!! It doesn’t work! If anything, buy a Garmin! Tom Tom never finds anything. Here’s an example. I live like a mile from a Wal-Mart, if you put in Wal Mart in the Tom Tom it’ll come back saying “Not found” ha! Crazy!! Anyway….After that I went home for a nap and then got ready for girls night out. We headed out to Bronx Bar in Rice Village. It was supposed to be GNO but it didn’t end up that way! Jorge and his brother Tony came to meet us there and my friend Cherry’s cousin came along too. We had fun! After that we went to eat Venezuelan food. Aaaaahhhh…That’s my late night temptation!! We always go there after the club. It’s this bus on the side of the road! It’s so good, I had una arepa con pollo y un perro caliente. Que riiicoo… I love it!

Sunday I took my baby Leo down to the dog park. He had a blast! The day was so nice! He played with other doggies and went in the pond. I have no idea why lately he likes to go in. He used to hate it!! He doesn’t like water but likes to sit in the water for a few minutes. Bien Loco. He’s adorable!!! I can’t wait to get him a baby brother <3

I still haven’t decided what to be for Halloween. I have things in mind but am not sure. I NEED HELP!!!

This month is Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog Month. I personally don’t own a shelter dog but have considered many times. Please consider it too, there are many shelter dogs & cats that need our help. Let’s give them a loving home

*Back on my feet finally! YAY!

Back @ work and back to normal. LOL. So I’ve been home sick and spending quality time with my bed and my couch. Not much fun. It’s the first time I’ve been an actual couch potato, or whatever it’s called. I’m always doing something, school, work, out, who knows, something! But I had to be home doing…nothing. I’m kind of glad I’m back @ work, even if it’s not the greatest, I have come to realize that it’s not that bad, it has it’s ups & downs as everything else. I think I have a love/hate relationship with it.

Today I saw my new office, yes! we are moving! Getting a new desk and a designated area for me aahh…great! I love decorating and this will be “my” space. Even though I’ve been in the same office for almost 4 years I still feel it’s not “me.” So, I’m begging to plan how it will look like! YAY! *

The weekend is finally here..Don’t have plans yet but I sure want to do something, it’s gorgeous outside! and the weekend will be great also, so they say!Last weekend was beautiful! I went to this place called Crave Cupcakes. It’s DELICIOUS! I am personally a cupcake lover, but this place! is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!! I can’t wait to go back, Jorge and I had the Nutella cupcake and absolutely loved it! I want a whole box for my bday!!! (I already made the request! LOL) Everyone should try it. It’s on uptown park, right next to “my fit foods.” Isn’t it ironic? It was kind of funny because we were sitting outside eating our cupcakes and this really fit guy with a “my fit foods” shirt and looked at me eating my yummy cupcake with a face that said “Hunnie you are at the wrong place!” LMAO It was just funny.

I’m just feeling very positive and happy that I am alive and even though we have ups & downs everything seems to take a good way all the time! So blessed to be stressed! <3

I’m so ready for a vacation. Lately I haven’t been sleeping well and there’s a lot of things that are going on that are making me go crazy. Too much for me. I’ve never felt like there’s too much going on until now. I need to relax. Someone told me yesterday “Do not worry about tomorrow, worry about today.” Well, that’s me, always worrying. Anxiety levels at high.All the time! LOL.

Can’t wait to be home tonight and watch Nip Tuck today at 9pm on FX! Oh yeah! and study too. LOL !!!
